 Workplace Mathematics Series
 

This new three-part series builds a strong foundation for students in the areas of elementary mathematical principles that can be applied to a specific job requirement. In this course students will learn about whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and introductory algebra.

Part 1 of the Workplace Mathematics Video Series

Recognize and use symbols of arithmetic

• Addition
• Subtraction
• Multiplication
• Division

Part 2 of the Workplace Mathematics Video Series

Students will learn:

• Fundamentals of decimals
• Rounding off decimals
• Repeating decimals
• Adding and subtracting decimal numbers
• Calculating percentages

Part 3 of the Workplace Mathematics Video Series

Students will learn:

• Signed numbers and how they are represented on a number line
• Subtracting, multiplying and dividing signed numbers
• Using variables to solve equations
• Determining square roots
• Simplifying algebraic equations
• Solving equations that have one unknown
