Traffic Incident Management (TIM) |
|
|
Description: Developed for the New Mexico Department of Transportation's Local Technical Assistance Program (NMLTAP), Traffic Incident Management is specifically designed for emergency response personnel including police, fire, EMS, and wrecker crews. This unique four-hour program stresses heightened awareness of the hazards inherent to traffic incidents, brings the tangible and intangible costs to the forefront when discussing and managing traffic incidents, and illustrates strategies that first responders can employ to ensure their safety, while promoting quick scene clearance and traffic recovery. Media utilized for this class includes hand-outs, video, PowerPoint® Presentations and hands-on exercises. A packet will be available for "Train the Trainer" purposes. Note: This training is made available at no cost to counties and municipalities through a contract with the NMLTAP. Private entity responders should inquire about group or "piggy-back" discounts. |
