Refresher Training and Testing

 

Changes to the rules and regulations that have recently taken effect are making it difficult for even seasoned truck drivers to obtain their CDL, and a failed exam costs just as much a successful one.

 In response, The Center for Workforce and Community Development now offers a full range of refresher training to help you navigate these changes and prepare you for a successful exam and career as a commercial truck driver. 

Refresher Training

Refresher Courses are conducted by knowledgeable instructors who have received training specific to the various aspects of the CDL examination. Below is a menu of classes to choose from to help sharpen your skills before taking the exam.

Commercial Driver's License Examination

In addition to offering the CDL exam refreshers listed above, ENMU-Roswell is also an authorized Commercial Drivers License Examination Site. Scheduling Requirements

IMPORTANT!

Before attempting to schedule a CDL examination PLEASE note the following:

  • Applicants MUST have a CDL permit before a test can be scheduled

  •  Applicants are responsible for obtaining a vehicle meeting the configuration and endorsements for which they will be testing (i.e., class A, B, or C, air-brakes, etc.)

  • Payment in full ($150) is required before a test will be scheduled.

  • Acceptable forms of payment include credit card, debit card, company check, money order, or cash (NO PERSONAL CHECKS).

  • The state requires a minimum of 7 days from initial contact until a test can be scheduled.  Once payment has been verified a test will be scheduled a minimum of 7 days out, subject to the first date and time an examiner is available.

  • Test times can be scheduled Monday through Saturday and must take place during daylight hours.  Please allow at least 2 hours for the driving test.

  • A receipt, driver/applicant check list, map to the test site location, and examiner’s contact information will be mailed to the driver/applicant within 48 hours of scheduling.

  • CANCELLATION POLICY

  •  The entire $150 testing fee will be forfeit unless:

  • The test is cancelled with ENMU-Roswell CDL coordinator or the examiner at least 24 business hours prior to test time.

  • There are extenuating emergency circumstances (as determined by the ENMU-Roswell CDL coordinator and/or the examiner).

  • Tests cancelled within the above-mentioned time frame will be rescheduled under the same guidelines as the original test at no additional charge to the driver/applicant.  Or the driver/applicant can request that his testing fee be refunded.

  • Any driver/applicant who does not arrive at the test site or contact the examiner within 30 minutes after the scheduled test time will be considered a “no show” and forfeit the full fee.
